Josie Aronov chooses Easter Seals Central Alabama to Give Back in Honor of Family Friend

Lillie Leaps was a labor of love for Josie Aronov. Decided upon as part of her bat mitzvah celebration and in honor of long-time family friend, Lillie Mastin, Josie and a group of friends, family and volunteers pulled together to create a free week-long therapy camp for children with special needs.

Lillie Leaps was a no-cost movement and language camp for special needs children, kindergarten through 3rd grade, held this past July. This fun dance, occupational, reading and speech therapy day camp was a fun and interactive way for children to learn to communicate with the world around them! Themed with a different Disney story every day, and staffed by wonderful volunteers, this camp brought smiles to all involved.

Lillie has been making great progress attending speech therapy at Easter Seals Central Alabama, so when it came time for a bat mitzvah charity to be chosen, Josie felt Easter Seals Central Alabama would be a great choice.

Donations made in Josie’s honor, will benefit the children’s services offered at Easter Seals Central Alabama.  Contributions will help us expand our Speech Therapy Department as well as our Reading Therapy program and allow us to introduce Pediatric Occupational Therapy.

The family asks that donations be made one of two ways:  Through the Easter Seals Central Alabama website here, or by mailing your donation, to the attention of Varina Mead, to their office at 2125 East South Boulevard, Montgomery AL, 36116.
