Regions Bank Contributes Sensory Packs in April In Support of Autism Awareness Month

Easterseals Central Alabama recently received a donation of sensory packs from Regions Bank in support of Autism Awareness Month in April.

The packs include a stress ball, sunglasses and noise reduction earbuds to assist children/adults who may experience sensory overload. Easterseals Central Alabama will distribute them to consumers.

In fact, Regions Bank worked with the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the Autism Society of Alabama to create sensory-friendly branches of its banks so that their customers can bank independently with ease. Each branch has a quiet area for customers when needed.

Regions Bank is dedicated to educating customers and employees while creating a sensory-friendly environment. It recognizes that, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, that one in 44 children has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
