Director of Marketing and Fund Development

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Director of Communications and Fund Development to join our team. As the Director of Communications and Fund Development, you will be responsible for planning, executing marketing strategies across all media and to Identify, organize and manage the fundraising activities of the affiliate with a focus on new opportunities to obtain ongoing and increased support from corporations, public and private organizations, faith communities, and individuals. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your creativity, strategic thinking, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

– Plan and execute special events, including conferences and trade shows.

– Develop event concepts, themes, and objectives in alignment with overall marketing goals

– Conduct market research and analyze data to identify target audience and determine event and marketing strategies

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of brand

– Manage your budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and reconciling invoices

– Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, catering, audiovisual equipment, and transportation

– Oversee event promotion through various channels including digital marketing, email marketing, social media, and traditional advertising

– Create compelling marketing content including copywriting for promotional materials and presentations

– Utilize marketing automation tools to streamline event registration and attendee communication

– Measure marketing and event performance using analytics tools and provide post

-event analysis and recommendations for improvement

-develop and execute a multi-year fundraising plan including major gifts, annual appeals, and special events

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, or a related field

– Proven experience in event management and fundraising

– Strong analytical skills with the ability to research market trends and analyze data effectively

– Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for collaboration and reporting purposes

– Experience in budgeting and financial management for events

– Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tools such as social media platforms and performance marketing

– Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging content for event promotions

– Familiarity with marketing automation platforms for event registration and communication purposes

– Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines

-Experience working in a non-profit setting a plus.

Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
